Body Rail Mod - or making room for headers

It was apparent from the beginning that the body "frame" rails would need to be modified to provide clearance for the headers.  I fabricated 2 replacement rails from 1 x 2" .100 wall tubing.  These had to have a profile to match the contours of the pockets created by opening the stock rails.  I also cut and fabbed some tie braces to tie the tubing to the existing section.

The rails were cut open, and the tubes and tie-braces have been welded in along the top and sides.  The bottom will be welded when body is raised again ( for the upteenth time)
